Dr. Steven Smith
MD FRCS(C) Urologist
Dr Smith received his MD. Degree from the university of Toronto in 1981. He went on to complete urology residency training in Toronto and became board certified in Urology by the Royal College of Surgeons in 1986. He has been Staff Consultant Urologist at the Oshawa Hospital/ Lakeridge Health System for over 35 years. He has also been Consulting Urologist at the Durham Regional Cancer Centre since its inception in 2007.
He has many years of experience and expertise in performing ultrasounds of the lower urinary tract and prostate to assist in diagnosis and treatment of prostate conditions.
Dr. Arthur Grabowski
MD FRCS(C) Urologist / Uro-Oncologist
Dr. Grabowski completed medical school in 1998 and urology residency in 2003, both at the University of Toronto. He went on to complete a clinical fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the Sunnybrook Health Science Centre and University Health Network in 2004. Since then, he has been a practicing urologist at Lakeridge Health and a Urologic Oncologist at the Durham Regional Cancer Centre. His interests include general urology and urologic oncology. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is board certified by the American Board of Urology. He is a member of the Canadian Urology Association and the American Urology Association.
For patients with a valid provincial health insurance card (except Quebec), appointments are available by referral only and visit fees are fully covered by OHIP.

Visit your family doctor to complete an initial examination and discussion surrounding your symptoms or general concerns
Obtain a referral from your family doctor for one of the following:
Initial comprehensive prostate exam for cancer risk evaluation
Elevated PSA
Prostate nodule
Enlarged prostate
Family history of prostate cancer
Urinary difficulties/retention
Second opinion of diagnosis/treatment
You family doctor will fax a copy of the referral to The Prostate Clinic so that we can schedule your appointment
We will call you to confirm that we have received the referral and to formally book your appointment with the clinic. If you do not hear from us in 5 business days please feel free to call.
Patients without a valid health card, can call the office directly for an appointment and will be responsible for direct payments of standard fees as set by the current Ontario Medical Association rates
